The Virginia Passenger Rail Authority (VPRA) seeks public feedback for a study to determine a site for a NRV passenger rail platform.

In May 2021, Governor Northam announced Virginia had reached an agreement with Norfolk Southern to extend passenger rail services along the former Virginian Line from Roanoke to the New River Valley. The VPRA now is conducting a study to determine the site for a passenger rail platform in the NR. Information on the study can be viewed here: New River Valley Station. VPRA is also are conducting a survey to gather feedback from the public. For those wishing to participate in the survey it can be accessed here: NRV Station Public Survey.

The study and survey are due to wrap up on January 31, 2022.
